Active Protection System Performance Model
OptiMetrics System Performance Model (OSPM) is a small-unit effectiveness model that provides a high-resolution representation of the timelines and effectiveness
of active protection systems. OSPM incorporates a representation of traditional aspects of combat systems including:
- Combat vehicles and terrain (mobility)
- Sensors, obscurants, and environment (target acquisition)
- Lethal mechanisms and armor (accuracy, lethality, vulnerability)
The model also contains a detailed representation of active protection systems:
- Component modeling
- Warning receivers
- Decision aids
- Countermeasures (Hard-kill, Soft-kill, Tactical)
- Engineering modeling
Applications:
- APS component optimization studies
- Compare various types of APS Systems
- Evaluate multiple vehicle and multiple threat engagements
- Develop CONOPS
