Eye-Tracking Toolkit

OptiMetrics-developed Eye-Tracking Toolkit incorporates its patented Fixated Objects technology. Fixated Objects technology calculates the graphical objects associated with eye fixations in operator interactions with dynamic 3D environments that simulate real-world environments. The technology enables automatic capture of performance elements that exist only at the subconscious level of human task execution. The captured data enables the development of performance measures that combine visual fixations with current simulation state to quantify decisionmaking behavior. The measures identify decision elements that require remediation. Focused training is then used to systematically resolve deficiencies.

Capabilities

Fixated Objects technology is best suited for measuring multitasking operator performance in real-world applications that are characterized by complex decision data, short decision time frames, and severe decision consequences. The Eye-Tracking Toolkit can be used to:

  • Evaluate Human Performance Limitation in Cognitively Intensive Tasks
  • Discover Cogitative Strategies of Expert Performers
  • Develop Training Methods for Complex Visual Tasks

Applications:

  • Military: Night vision training, situation awareness training, personnel selection, pilot training, cockpit design, infantry skill development, robot control, force reduction/amplification study
  • Automotive: Driver training, driver skill certification, cockpit design
  • Medical: Cognitive rehabilitation, ADHD measurement, cognitive imaging, aged performance, rehabilitative device evaluation
  • Pharmaceutical: Drug affect on performance
